My Portfolio Page contains a few examples of my illustrations. I started out as a fashion illustrator, and I still absolutely love doing fashion illustrations, especially when drawing from a fabulous live model.
Another favorite genre of mine is drawing children. I love the world of whimsy and child-like wonder, whether I am working in simple black ink or marker or full color gouache paints. My children’s artwork and illustrations have been used on CD music covers, magazine illustrations and greeting cards.
I have also done cartoons all my life. When something good, bad, traumatic, or funny has happened to me, I have chronicled that event in cartoons. What I have shown here are a few cartoons from my IBS blog (ChronicallyMe.com), and book Chronically Me: Flushing Out My Life And Times, A Memoir In Comics. When I cartoon, I can use my snarky sense of humor and observational skills to express myself, and it is a great venting process.
Finally, I have included coloring book pages. Creating adult coloring books was a wonderful discovery for me. I loved doing original artwork consisting of fashion figures and backgrounds for my book, Color in Fashion: A Stylish Adult Coloring Book. And I also greatly enjoyed illustrating my second coloring book, Color in Wonder: An Adult Coloring Book of Childhood Memories. This was a delight for me to draw as it involves the wonder and fantasy of childhood.
